Ms. Davis was incredible working with my niece Mary. Mary hit “writer’s block” on a senior thesis. She was battling symptoms from a previous concussion, and was unable to focus, organize, or complete a critical fifteen page paper for her major that was due for her to graduate from Stanford University. Mary felt hopeless and discouraged. But after spending time with Ms. Davis, the tides turned. Ms. Davis helped Mary create a thesis outline, daily milestones, and “to do” lists. Mary’s confidence began to return. Ms. Davis has an amazing way of connecting with students and meeting them where they are both emotionally and academically. Mary is a brilliant mind who needed help organizing and believing in her capabilities! I am thrilled to say that after working with Ms. Davis, Mary was able to finish her thesis, submit paper to professor, receive a solid grade, and graduate from Stanford! All of this was up the air before her time with Ms. Davis! I would highly recommend Shaunta Davis as a coach, mentor, and advocate!
We had the pleasure of working with Shaunta Davis and her impact on my daughter’s learning and attitude was nothing short of transformative. Her expertise in understanding the overall high school curriculum and personalized teaching approach made complex concepts accessible and engaging. Shaunta was incredibly patient, always taking the time to ensure our daughter understood each topic. Thanks to her dedication, personal connection, exemplary skillsets, she not only improved her grades but also developed a genuine interest in the materials and course content. I highly recommend Shaunta Davis to any family seeking a confident, knowledgeable and collaborative tutor.
Shaunta came recommended to us by another family who had great experience with her and their middle school-aged student who was struggling with executive functioning skills and achieving their potential in the classroom which was exactly what our family needed. Shaunta came in guns-blazing as if she had known my son and our family for years. She sets high, yet not unreasonable, expectations and standards of her students and recognizes early on when a student is struggling and customizes her approach to fit the student’s needs. She cares deeply for her students - spending countless hours beyond what she was scheduled for to ensure all work is completed on time and to the best of the student’s ability. She is supremely proactive, anticipating the curriculum assignments, coordinating directly with teachers, and creating clear outlines for the student to accomplish. My son would not have succeeded without Shaunta’s intervention. She is also trained in ISEE/other standardized testing preparation which was a key component to our work with her. Not only is Shaunta a brilliant tutor, she is kind and funny and has a special magic touch for connecting with her students at their level. If you have a middle school or high school-aged student looking for additional support, Shaunta is your girl. Cannot recommend her highly enough.
Shaunta was an education cheerleader and advocate when we needed her most. She helped us navigate a challenging landscape too with an intentional focus on both personal and academic success inside and outside of the classroom. Shaunta’s support led to improved study habits, time management, and self-advocacy, which were invaluable to ensuring short- and long-term progress!
I would call Ms. Shaunta Davis a life coach for students and their families. She truly focuses on each of her students' unique abilities and areas each child needs support. Ms. Davis showed my daughter care and concern when life seemed almost too difficult to bare. She believed in her abilities and in return my daughter started to believe in herself again. She helped rebuild her academic confidence and showed her how to create new habits to ensure academic success. Collaboratively, they developed weekly action plans to accomplish assignments and mapped out study guides. Ms. Davis is super flexible which is what you need when working with teenagers and is always willing to follow up and go the extra mile.
For over 7 years, our son has worked with Ms. Davis during the school year and summers. Ms. Davis is very knowledgeable and understands how to get your child to comprehend the information. She always finds a way to schedule an emergency session if needed and is very organized by creating personalized study guides. We would highly recommend her.
Shaunta has been an integral part of our lives for over a year now. Going into senior year of high school, it was evident that my son needed additional guidance on how to approach not only academics for school, but for his future success as well. He is an intelligent child who simply did not know how to allocate his time properly, how to utilize a calendar, follow up nor how to study. Shaunta was in short…outstanding. Not only is she incredibly smart and organized, she possesses the ability to connect with teenagers…which is not an easy task. She is kind and encouraging and my son looked forward to the time they spent together each week. Shaunta was also exceptional at keeping me up to date so that we were all on the same page in supporting my son. To see the changes in my son’s confidence have been nothing short of amazing and I will forever be grateful for her skills and guidance. I truly cannot say enough good things about her.
I met Ms. Davis when I was fortunate enough to be in her advisory and Spanish class in middle school. In the classroom, she ignited a love for Spanish in me that has driven me to study it ever since, and minor in it in college. After recently returning from a semester in Barcelona, Spain, where I was fully immersed in the culture, I knew that I did not want to lose my fluency. Therefore, I reached out to Ms. Davis, who has been of continuous support, to help further my knowledge of the language. Her enthusiastic, caring, and thoughtful attitude sets her apart from others and will continue to bring her success in her future work.
Ms. Davis is a delight to work with. When we first met she was my homeroom advisor at school. We had a fantastic relationship which led me to reach out to her for tutoring. Our main focus was Spanish and our sessions involved reviewing foundational information, preparing study methods, and test prep. Unlike any other tutor I’ve worked with, Ms. Davis was also a constant source of genuine and insightful life advice. Her delightful and kind presence saw her quickly become a true personal and family friend. My time with Ms. Davis left me with superior study habits and strategies that carried me through college and have allowed me to thrive at a top law school. You truly cannot go wrong working with her.
I first worked with Ms. Davis in middle school and have continued working with her through all of high school. She is very knowledgeable with all levels of Spanish and a big help to anyone who needs it. Who knows, I may have her helping me in college!
I was lucky enough to have Ms. Davis as a teacher and advisor, and she had an incredible impact on my development as a student and person. Her mentorship extended well beyond academics, and I am incredibly fortunate to have had her in my corner through high school, college, and beyond. It is rare to have someone so gifted at helping young people reach their full potential, and even more rare for that same person to care so deeply about every single student. In a single day I might go to Ms. Davis’s class, meet with her 1-on-1, and then see her on the sidelines of our football game that evening. Ms. Davis was remarkably talented at explaining difficult concepts concisely, and her academic coaching was always tailored to the specific student and their needs. Most importantly, her approach to mentoring was extremely holistic and set me up for success in all facets of life. I would not be where I am today without her guidance and support, and I could not recommend her services more wholeheartedly to anyone aiming to reach new heights in the classroom and beyond.
Ms. Davis Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ms. Davis was my teacher and advisor for a few years in middle school. She helped me grow not just as a student but as a person. Her ability to cater to individuals for their learning needs is unmatched as she finds the best way for each student to unlock their potential. Whenever I had questions about class, she took the time to understand and critically help me. She is the true definition of an educator and one who wants the best for each individual student.
Ms. Davis is truly the best! She has helped me to learn how to assess an overwhelming school work situation, decide my priorities, and outline a schedule to tackle the workload. Even after our sessions would end, she would work to help make sure I was set up for success during the upcoming days. Ms. Davis truly cares about her students beyond school work. Always being responsive, she is willing to offer assistance wherever it is needed.
